Man steals £2,000 worth of candles in broad daylight in Woodford Green

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man stole £2,000 worth of candles from a florist in Woodford Green.

A 6ft man was seen carrying a box in the alleyway behind Emma’s Ivy Florist in Snakes Lane East on Sunday.

The man spoke to a resident and said he was clearing rubbish. He then walked down Snakes Lane East into Prospect Place.

After police arrived it was discovered the man had taken a large quantity of Yankee Candles worth about £2,000.
