Man stabbed multiple times in Ilford

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an attempted murder in Ilford.

Police were called to Krystal Banqueting, High Road, on Monday, April 2 after a man was stabbed between 4.30pm and 5.20pm.

The victim, aged 26, suffered a number of stab wounds and is in a stable condition in hospital.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have seen vehicles leaving the area at high speed after the assault.

A Met Police spokeswoman said: “Redbridge Police are dedicated to reducing violent crime, aiming to continually take knives and weapons off the streets.

“Safer Neighbourhood Teams are regularly conducting high visibility patrols in places where intelligence suggests that people may be carrying or using weapons.

“They are also conducting weapons sweeps in these locations and recovering knives that could be used to readily arm members of the public.

“If you carry a knife please surrender at your local police station.”
