Man in his 60s dies after cardiac arrest in car in Redbridge Lane East

A man believed to be in his 60s has died after suffering a cardiac arrest in a car in Redbridge Lane East this afternoon.

Paramedics and the London Fire Brigade were called to reports of a car hitting a postbox near to Avondale Crescent, Redbridge, at 4.06pm.

Attempts were made to resuscitate the man, according to a London Ambulance Service spokesman, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car was not involved in a collision with any other vehicles. .
