A 37-year-old man has been imprisoned for 12 weeks after pleading guilty to possession of an offensive weapon and assaulting a constable.
The man, of no fixed address, was arrested on Ilford Lane at 2.15am on April 7 after police were called to a disturbance.
They found him holding a plank of wood and arrested him for possessing an offensive weapon, after which he kicked a police constable in the knee.
He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates Court on April 8.
