A man had to be cut from a car following an accident last night.

Emergency services were called to attended the scene, in Brisbane Road, Ilford, at the junction with Auckland Road, at 11.55pm.

Keith Fern, watch manager at Ilford Station, said “two cars had collided”.

He added: “It was not a high impact crash. There were two adult males in one car, one had exited the car when the fire service arrived and was treated by the London Ambulance Service.

“The other was complaining of pain in his back.”

Fire officers cut the roof off the car to free the injured man safely.

A police spokesman added: “Injuries were very minor and no arrests were made.”

The spokesman said the two cars involved were a red Vauxhall Mokka and a Range Rover Evoque.
