A man has been conditionally discharged for stealing a bottle of Amaretto from an Ilford supermarket earlier this month.
Jasbir Singh, 38, of Romford Road, Manor Park, pleaded guilty to taking the �9.99 booze from the Lidl in High Road on October 14 at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Defending solicitor Miss Denton said Mr Singh stole “because he had an alcohol problem that he’s trying to address”.
She added: “He informed me that he deeply regrets his actions.”
Mr Singh must not commit any more offences for the next year and pay �85 costs and a �15 victim surcharge.
