A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after another man was knifed in a residential street.
Police were called to Addison Road, Barkingside, at 2.40pm yesterday (Wednesday) to find a man with two slash wounds to his upper arm and elbow.
Part of the road was cordoned off by police as the victim directed them to his attacker, who was nearby, and a 49-year-old man was detained.
The wounded man was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone, where he was treated for his injuries.
