A sterilising company raised more than £600 at a Macmillan cancer support coffee morning on Monday, October 2.

Despite the windy weather, Excel Healthcare Limited - largest suppliers of bench top steam sterilisers in the UK - enjoyed cakes and warm beverages at Aldborough Hall Farm, Aldborough Road North.

Narinder Singh, Excel Healthcare Limited operations manager, said the event went really well.

“The female staff got together to bake a variety of cakes and ran a raffle all in aid of this good cause,” he said.

“The event attracted many people from nearby businesses as well as staff and customers from Miller and Carter.

“As a result of all the efforts made by staff, a staggering £626 was raised and donations are still pouring in.”

The company decided to support Macmillan because cancer affects people from all walks of life.

“We hope this has helped to support those affected and contributed to medical research in finding a long-lasting cure,” he added.
