The M25 is closed anticlockwise after a collision involving a motorcycle near junction 28 of the A12.
A male patient was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital by Essex and Herts Air Ambulance at around 9am.
Long tailbacks are causing problems for commuters from junction 29 (A127).
