Long delays expected on A406 after three car collision on Ilford flyover

There is severe traffic through Ilford this afternoon after a three car collision on the north circular closed all but one lane of the southbound carriageway.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed they were called to the A406 in Ilford at 2.24pm to reports of a three-car collision.

He said: “There will be severe disruption as lanes have been closed while emergency services deal with the accident.”

Transport for London are advising that the southbound A406 is currently down to one lane. Queues are building from Redbridge Roundabout to the Barking interchange

It is not yet clear if there have been any injuries.

The London Ambulance Service are on the scene and have been contacted for comment.
