A dad whose daughter has been receiving treatment for a rare type of cancer is raising money for Haven House Children’s Hospice, Woodford Green.

Richard Wilson has already raised more than £2,200 for Haven House and hopes to raise even more.

He said: “My daughter Jess is undergoing treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Every month she attends Haven House’s Teenage Cancer Group where she gets to meet other young people who are going through the same sort of challenges.

Haven House provides palliative and holistic care to children and young people.

He added: “Jess has been able to make friends in the group and take part in fun activities.

“She has even been able to meet Leona Lewis who took part in a song-writing workshop with the teenagers in February.”
