The deadline to register to vote in May 3’s local election is less than one week away.
Next month, Redbridge residents will be taking to polling station to elect their local councillors for a four-year term.
For those not yet registered the deadline to do so is midnight on April 17.
To vote in local elections, a person must be registered, 18 years or over on polling day, a UK resident and either a British Citizen or Commonwealth Citizen or citizen of the European Union.
They must also not be subject to any legal restrictions on voting.
If you were registered to vote in the 2017 general election and your details have not changed, you are registered to vote.
People with no fixed address, such as the homeless, may need to complete an additional form called a declaration of local connection in order to register.
