Tonight (Thursday) is the night to put your questions to party leaders and independent candidates running in the May 3 local government elections.

The Recorder is holding a pre-election hustings which readers can watch live on our Facebook page from 6.30pm.

To ensure all perspectives are heard, independent candidates as well as all major parties have been invited.

Confirmed on our panel so far is leader of the Labour group Jas Athwal, leader of the Conservative Group Paul Canal and leader of the Liberal Democrats Gwyneth Deakins, Green Party candidate Ashley Gunstock and independent Meenakshi Sharma.

Do you feel that recent Council Tax hikes have been too high? Or justified?

Would you like to see a skyscaper built on the site of the now-closed Bodgers?

Do you yearn for Redbridge to become a mini-Manhattan?
