Voters will be heading to the polls today for the Roding ward by-election.

Those standing to replace Tory Sarah Blaber, who resigned on March 18, include former Aldborough councillor Ruth Clark for the Conservatives, lifelong South Woodford resident Lloyd Duddridge for Labour, and Richard Clare for the Liberal Democrats, who stood as the party’s candidate for Ilford North in last year’s general election.

Black cab driver Jonathan Seymour, from Barkingside, is standing for Ukip, Hainault resident Barry Cooper for the Green Party and Marilyn Moore for the All People’s Party, its first candidate in the borough.
