A special meeting is being held tonight to encourage new foster carers, to deal with a shortage in the borough.
Redbridge Council will be providing information about what fostering entails and how to apply from 6pm to 8pm at Redbridge Central Library, Clements Road, Ilford.
A council spokeswoman said: “We urgently need more foster carers to care for children and siblings.
“If you know you can provide a safe, secure and loving family home and have a spare room please come along to find out more.”
To foster you can be single, married, living together, working, unemployed or retired.
