Ambulance crews took a three-year-old baby to hospital as a precaution after a crash on the A406 between Redbridge and Ilford.
Two lanes on the southbound carriage were closed and traffic reached back to the Redbridge roundabout.
A London Ambulance spokesman said: “We were called at 9.47am to reports of a road traffic collision. A three-week-old baby was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
