An anti-burglary campaign has seen the police make more than 150 arrests in the eight weeks since it began.

The Redbridge Burglary Squad used tactics based on overnight burglary figures and crime analysis to target their patrols to specific areas during Operation Castle,

This has allowed them to make 152 arrests, 1,111 stop and searches while 21 cannabis warnings have been issued and 31 vehicles have been seized.

The main routes through Redbridge, including the A12 and the A406, also saw Operation Cubo set up roadside checks to stop vehicles for motoring offences and to deter criminals from coming into the borough.
