An extra £650,000 will be spent to help combat potholes on the borough’s roads after severe winter weather caused “widespread” damage.
The weather conditions experienced over the past three years has led to a significant deterioration of Redbridge’s roads and an increased number of potholes.
The money will be used to repair more than 7,000 potholes and other surface defects to help keep the borough moving safely.
