Merry Christmas to all our readers
The Ilford Recorder would like to wish all our readers and website visitors a merry Christmas.
Schoolchildren have been leading the festive celebrations this year, dressing as elves, angels, reindeer and Christmas trees as they explored fun versions of the Nativity story in their school plays.
Some had surprise visits from Santa Claus, and others enjoyed fun-filled days with entertainers, games and cake.
Children have also been thinking of different ways to spread festive cheer, with some putting up their pictures outside their school for passers-by to admire.
Care homes across the borough have also been holding Christmas parties for their residents.
