May Day rally planned for Ilford town centre in protest against government ‘cuts’

A May Day rally is being held in Ilford town centre tomorrow to protest against government spending changes and welfare reforms.

Redbridge Trades Union Council has organised the event to mark Workers’ International Day.

Ilford South MP Mike Gapes will be giving a speech around 2pm outside Redbridge Town Hall, in High Road.

Labour party members, including Redbridge group leader Cllr Jas Athwal and Cllr Barbara White, will also be speaking.
