The driver of a car heavily damaged in a rush hour road crash this morning escaped unhurt.
The person was checked over by London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics at the roadside following the collision at 8.30am.
Two cars collided on the A406, at its junction with Ilford Hill.
Police and the LAS both attended the scene.
There were no reports of any serious traffic delays following the incident.
