A group of young army cadets have showed their support for Armistice Day by volunteering at a supermarket.
The 48 Company Army Cadets supported the Royal British Legion (RBL), by selling poppies and working on the check-outs at Sainsbury’s, High Road, Chadwell Heath on Saturday.
The volunteers will be in-store in the lead-up to Remembrance Sunday to hold collections and continue selling poppies.
Store manager, Gareth Powell, said: “The Chadwell Heath community has been so supportive in previous years and it’s fantastic to see young people making a positive contribution to the charity in this way.
“I hope our customers can join our local cadets and show their support for a charity which touches the hearts of so many”.
