Police are appealing for help in finding three men who attacked and robbed an 81-year-old man as he withdrew money from a cash machine.
The elderly man was robbed of the money and bank card at about 4pm yesterday as he used the cash machine outside Barclays bank in High Street, Wanstead.
Police say the pensioner was attacked from behind and then pulled to the ground.
The suspects, described as three males, ran to Wanstead Place where they got into a dark grey Vauxhall Vectra.
Detectives say the vehicle almost collided with another car as it fled the area.
