More than £300 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society on Monday by a banking branch.
Workers at Lloyds Bank provided refreshments and cakes for passers-by who donated £340 to the organisation which is working to improve the quality of life of those affected by dementia.
Nilopher Ebrahim, senior advisor at the bank, in High Road, Ilford, said: “The event went really well – we had a fantastic turnout.”
Ms Ebrahim said the event was a “festive” tea and talk event.
“All the staff wore Christmas jumpers,” she said.
