A lightning strike has forced an Ilford school to stay closed today.
Cleveland Infants and junior school, in Cleveland Road, was struck by a bolt of lightning on Friday.
A Redbridge Council spokesman said power is being “gradually restored” to the building but the fire alarm panel needs to be replaced.
The school is planning to open as normal tomorrow.
