Residents and businesses alike were attracted to a lifestyle show in Newbury Park which included taster classes in Zumba, talks by acclaimed authors and beauty tips and tricks.
The Health and Lifestyle Show, held at Holiday Inn, Eastern Avenue, was aimed at promoting local trade, healthy living and wellbeing.
The day included seminars on hair loss, holistic hair care and nutrition. Acclaimed author Charmaine Smith also led a special inspirational talk.
Organiser Suzette McLean said: “We had an absolutely fantastic day. We were apprehensive the show would be quiet because it was the first event of its kind. However, we had a very fruitful day with a wonderful atmosphere.
“The exhibitors were positive and the people who attended remarked on the quality of the businesses here. We are certainly encouraged to do it again.”
