A university lecturer on bail following the death of a teenager at his home is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after apparently jumping from a bridge.
Brian Dodgeon, 60, has suffered serious leg injuries after falling on to the A406 at the Woodford/Walthamstow border at 10.10am on Tuesday.
Mr Dodgeon, a lecturer at the University of London, is on bail until next month on suspicion of child abandonment and possessing drugs after the death of 15-year-old Isobel Reilly.
She died at his home in Notting Hill on Good Friday during a party.
Police say Tuesday’s fall is “non suspicious”.
