A Barkingside secondary school has appointed a new headteacher.
Ms Hannele Reece is the permanent headteacher at Kantor King Solomon, in Forest Road, as of last Friday (July 13).
She joined the school 19 years ago and served as interim headteacher for the last seven months while previous head Matthew Slater was absent for unexplained “personal and confidential” reasons.
Mr Slater leaves after three years as headteacher.
I am proud and delighted to be able to lead Kantor King Solomon High School as its permanent headteacher,” she said.
She added: “I look forward to driving Kantor King Solomon forward to ensure that we become the best school we canbe and to provide our community with the school and the opportunities it deserves.”
She began her career at school as a History teacher and progressed to head of department, head of humanities and eventually deputy head.
She has worked as an approved Ofsted inspector in the past.
