The first week of school holidays saw another action-packed summer scheme at Jewish Care’s Redbridge Jewish Community Centre.
More than 140 children aged four to 11 took part in the Summerworld camp at the centre in Sinclair House, Woodford Bridge Road, last week.
Jack, 7, said he really enjoyed the arts and crafts activities.
He said: “There’s lots of things to do in the art room. There are lots of different things to use like paints, which is really cool.”
The scheme is running for four weeks and will finish on August 25.
Senior youth worker, Adam Nickels, said “Summerworld’s first week has been brilliant.
“It’s a great place to make new friends and get messy and convenient for parents as we provide snacks and lunch.
“I want to thank our fantastic leaders and volunteers, many of whom have attended the summer scheme themselves when they were children.”
