A 27-year-old Ilford drug dealer has been jailed for three years after being caught with £5,820 in heroin and crack cocaine.

Jazz Wariola, of Pittman Gardens, was sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday (April 30) after pleading guilty to possessing class A drugs with intent supply on March 14.

Police from specialist crime team Operation Chesapeake, tasked with reducing drug dealing in Ilford town centre, received intelligence that drug dealing was taking place at property on Pittman Gardens.

After obtaining a drugs warrant, officers investigated the property and found 34.4g of loose heroin and 11.4g of crack cocaine along with weighing scales and bags typically used for preparing drugs.

They also found 16 wraps of heroin, 46 wraps of crack cocaine and £2,000 in £20 notes under Wariola’s bed.

They arrested Wariola at the scene.

Commenting after the sentencing, Pc Carl Repper said: “It was evident he was using the address to prepare and sell the drugs.”
