After the disappointment of defeat at Rotherham, Orient’s promotion bid returns to Brisbane Road for the visit of Peterborough tomorrow.

It is the start of six home games in seven for the O’s and captain Nathan Clarke hopes they can use that to their advantage.

He said: “We’ve had a week on the training pitch before Peterborough. We need to keep focused and keep believing.

“We’re in a fantastic position and need to keep positive, there are loads of points to play for and it’s still in our hands.

“Four defeats in 28 league games is a fantastic effort by everybody, we just need to focus on ourselves.”

A busy January transfer window has bolstered Orient’s squad.

Clarke is positive the O’s have a set of players with the ability to clinch a place in the Championship.

“The bench looked really strong with David Mooney back and a couple of other players waiting for the chance,” he said.

“We were unfortunate in losing Eldin but I thought Ben did well in difficult weather conditions.

“There’s competition for places, it pushes people who might be a little bit comfortable in their position knowing there’s somebody behind you waiting.”
