A nine-year-old who raised more than £76,000 for Haven House Children’s Hospice has been named August’s winner of our Young Citizen Award.
Isabella Field of Darnley Road, Woodford Green and her mum have become the most successful fundraisers for the charity.
She was inspired to help the hospice after her sister Molly died of a brain tumour in 2010.
Isabella has helped sell raffle tickets, put on shows and organised her own charity fun day.
She will now be entered for the annual Young Citizen title presented at the Mayor’s Community Awards next spring.
