Orient boss Russell Slade was ‘proud’ of his players after they fought back to claim a draw at Wolves.
But a lengthening injury list is proving a real cause for concern as the season enters its second half.
Key midfielder Romain Vincelot came off with a knee injury and the O’s started with four youth team players on the bench for the trip to Molineux.
“We’re so patched up at the moment,” said Slade.
“Shaun Batt could miss most of the rest of the season with his hamstring injury and we’re hoping to have David Mooney back in mid January or a little bit earlier.”
The manager is looking forward to the start of the transfer window and says chairman Barry Hearn has set aside some funds to strengthen the squad.
“There’s a little fund. We’ll be looking to bring in the right characters, no egos,” he added.
On the pitch, Mathieu Baudry’s second half equaliser secured a point for Orient.
Slade struggled to pick a man of the match but reserved special praise for goalkeeper Jake Larkins in his second league appearance.
First-choice stopper Jamie Jones could be out for up to three months with a back injury but his replacement made a number of key saves with the score at 1-0.
Slade said: “It was Jake’s second league appearance in front of almost 30,000 people. That can be daunting.
“He made a really important save when it was 1-0, one-on-one, and little things like that keep you in it.”
