An unexpected visitor joined the commuter traffic on the A406 this morning.
An injured swan landed in the busy road on the northbound carriageway in Redbridge around 8.30am, .
Cars stopped to avoid hitting the bird, causing long queues.
The police were called to the scene and officers shooed the bird away.
LBC travel reporter Andy McColl told the Recorder he saw the bird fly south on a traffic camera.
