A Debenhams store manager took part in a cyclathon to raise funds for Help for Heroes.
Simon Cucklow, who manages the store in High Road, Ilford, took part in the relay race that saw shop staff cycling between various branches.
Simon cycled from the Romford branch, on Market Place, to the Ilford branch last week in a respectable 23 minutes.
He said: “We kicked off the appeal with a fundraising weekend in store at the beginning of March.
“Customers were extremely generous however we wanted to do something more to raise further funds so that’s how the East Anglia Cyclathon has come about.
“Each rider has been challenged to raise a minimum of £100 each, so hopefully we’ll raise a substantial amount for the appeal.”
The East Anglia Cyclathon began in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, on March 28 and ended in Cambridge last Thursday.
The overall aim is to raise £75,000 nationally for the charity that aids people injured in Britain’s military conflicts.
