“They are risking their lives day in day out and they deserve our respect” is why one optician has decided to run 100km for army veterans.
Anil Gupta, 61, will be running from Parliament to Brighton Pier next month in aid of Help for Heroes. This will be his 35th charity run, having raised money for the British Heart Foundation, Diabetes UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital among many others.
Mr Gupta, owner of Aves Optician, Wellesley Road, Ilford, will be setting off on March 25 but is not in special training. “I’m always in training but it’s the first time I have gone this far,” he said. If you would like to support Anil visit www.justgiving.com/anilkumargupta.
