AN INVESTIGATION into a series of power cuts which left 1500 homes and businesses in darkness is under way.
UK Power Networks confirmed there had been a loss of power in High Road, Ilford this afternoon.
A spokesman said: “About 1500 power supplies have been interrupted from 4.42pm, and some further customers saw a brief loss of supply lasting a few minutes.
“We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and assure customers that we will restore power supplies as quickly as is safely possible.”
