Ilford North MP Lee Scott has praised an encouraging drop in unemployment in the area.
The amount of people claiming Jobseeker’s allowance has fallen in the past year.
The improvement has been attributed to new “high tech” jobs in East London which are attracting younger employees.
Lee said: “We all welcome these improving employment figures which are good news for both individuals and for our local economy”.
