There is no obstacle too great for pupils at a Barkingside primary school who have jumped, boxed and vaulted their way to raising more than £4,500 for new sports equipment.

More than 460 pupils at Clore Tikva School, in Fullwell Road, took on an obstacle course to raise money on Friday, May 25.

The course included an army crawl net, tire run, squats, push ups, wall climbing and vaults among others.

Ilford North MP Wes Streeting cheered them on and presented them with medals.

He said: The parents and staff involved did a fantastic job organising what must be one of the most fun and elaborate obstacle courses put on by any school in the Borough.

“There were smiles all round from the pupils who clearly had a great time. I’m looking forward to the next one!”

The event was organised by Ursula Perry and supported by Nuffield Gym, the Barkingside Farm Shop and Top Golf.
