A mother a daughter dream raised hundreds of pounds for a cancer charity by taking part in a sponsored run.
Joanne Harris and her daughter Alice Power, who both work at Specsavers in High Road, Ilford, raised more than £875 for Cancer Research UK.
Rakesh Shah, the shop director, said: “All of us here are incredibly proud of the women. It was a fantastic effort from them, not only in terms of the hugely impressive sum raised, but also the actual run itself!”
The women took part in one of the 240 Race for Life runs which happen in the UK every year.
