A mosque in Redbridge has united with four other mosques to help raise money for Richard House Children’s Hospice.
Masjid Al Falah mosque in Kensington Gardens, Ilford, wants to raise £2,500 in order to aid the work of the centre which supports young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
As a charity, Richard House’s services are free of charge to the families supported and the majority of their funding is thanks to the generosity of the public.
The hospice’s chief executive, Chris Baker, said: “We are absolutely delighted that these mosques are continuing to support us as we rely on the generosity of our donors to raise the majority of our funding.
“Half of the children we work with are from Muslim families and we hope this will also help us to spread awareness of our services and our need for donations, so that we can help more families who need our support.”
