An Ilford man has been charged with violent disorder at the anti-cuts protests in central London, after appearing in court on separate charges.

Colin Fox, 42, of York Road, Ilford appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court today charged with criminal damage on March 26, the day an estimated 500,000 people marched against government cuts.

The case was adjourned and he was bailed to re-appear at the court on April 28.

Following the court appearance Fox was arrested again and charged with violent disorder committed in central London on the same day.

He has been bailed to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on May 12.
