Ilford Hindu Centre helping the needy with Sewa day

Got some food to spare? The Ilford Hindu Centre is holding a Sewa day to help those in need followed by an afternoon of activities.

Sewa means to give in the ancient language Sanskrit and is a day of giving to others and being selflessness.

From 11am on Sunday at the temple in Albert Road, Ilford there will be a collection of non-perishable food which will be given to Leyton Homeless Centre.

At 12.30pm there will be lunched followed by cleaning of the temple.

A seminar on Asian health will be held at 3pm followed by entertainment at 4pm.
