A demonstration is taking place today outside a high commission after a twin suicide bombing on a church in Pakistan.

On Sunday more than 75 people were killed in the bombing of a church in Peshawar.

The British Pakistani Christian Association said it would be demonstrating outside the Pakistani High Commission in Knightsbridge at noon.

The association, based in Green Lane, Ilford, said they were hoping for a good turnout after interest shown by a number of Christian groups.

Wilson Chowdhry, chairman of the association, said: “We have organised this protest outside the high commission to highlight the desperate plight of Christians in Pakistan and the constant threat of violence they face on a daily basis.”
