A 25-year-old artist who has exhibited his work at the Tate Modern has been honoured at an award ceremony.
Jatinder Durhailay from Ilford was given the people’s choice award at the Sikh Awards 2013 at a gala ceremony on Saturday.
The awards celebrate achievements from the global Sikh community.
Mr Durhailay, who creates intricate paintings, says his work is heavily influence by spirituality and takes inspiration from history.
More than 700 people attended the ceremony which was held at the Hilton Hotel in Knightsbridge.
