Firefighters tackled a blaze at a house under construction yesterday in Ilford.
Four fire engines and about 20 firefighters from Ilford, Stratford, Hainault and East Ham fire stations attended the scene in Quebec Road at 5.28pm.
The blaze, which left the detached house badly damaged, was under control by 7.51pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
