A social enterprise is hoping to offer residents the opportunity to access skills, training and qualifications within the hospitality and catering sector.

On September 20 at 5.30pm, the project is being launched at City Gates Church, in Clements Road, Ilford, at a networking and consultation event.

The project will be aimed specifically at the long term unemployed, young people, school leavers, apprentices, graduates, volunteers, adults, older people and disadvantaged communities.

Bimmy Rai, project lead co-ordinator, said she was very excited about the potential in Redbridge.

She said: “The project will focus on providing help to long-term disadvantaged communities.”

Ahead of Britain’s exit from the European Union, this project will address how workers will ensure the hospitality sector continues to thrive.

The event will be opened by the Mayoress of Redbridge, Councillor Linda Huggett and Councillor Bob Littlewood.
