A Chadwell Heath supermarket donated a full Christmas dinner to a homeless hostel.
Sainsbury’s, in High Road, presented chickens, roast potatoes, vegetables, gravy, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and mince pies to Brocklebank Lodge last week.
The hostel, in Becontree Avenue, Dagenham, houses people who would be living on the street.
Sainsbury’s deputy store manager Jason McGarry said: “We’re always looking at ways we can support the community at Christmas.
“We hope the donation helps provide them with a nice early Christmas treat”.
