Hitting bullseye: Barry Hearn backs children’s hospice

Sports promoter Barry Hearn has hit bullseye after signing a year long partnership with a children’s hospice.
Mr Hearn, who is chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation and Leyton Orient FC, has joined up with Haven House, High Road, Woodford Green.
He visited the hospice to find out how any money raised will be used to held children with life limiting conditions.
Mr Hearn said: “I am absolutely delighted to be able to support a wonderful charity that makes such a massive difference to the lives of local children and families. We are working with the hospice on a range of exciting initiatives.”
He also said that he was hoping to raise a minimum of £100,000 over the coming year.
Mike Palfreman, chief executive of the hospice, said: “This is an extremely significant relationship for the hospice and we are all dedicated to raising as much money as possible for life-limited children and their families.”
