An Easter-themed competition to find the community’s best baker is taking place at a historic former cinema in Chadwell Heath.

Community group Chadwell Heath South Residents’ Association (CHSRA) is hosting an Easter Eggs-travaganza at Mayfair Venue, in High Road, on Easter Monday (April 2).

Activities include an egg hunt, an egg decoration workshop and a community bake-off where awards will be given for the best overall cake, the best decorated cake and the best cupcake.

Winners will be determined on the day.

To get involved in the bake-off, candidates must register by March 25 and submit their bake for judging by 11am on April 2.

CHSRA work to advance community development and urban regeneration, for the benefit of the public.

Their event takes place from 1pm to 5pm and tickets are £3 per person or £5 for two people.

To book in advance, or to enter the bake-off, contact 07597 903 799 or
